The Griffith Park Trail Half-Marathon has arrived.

Welcome to the Griffith Park Trail Half Marathon in Los Angeles, CA to be held November 17th, 2012! Please join us for a run or tough hike in the "Los Angeles' Crown Jewel". Come for the run, and then take some time to enjoy the many pleasures of the historical and world-renowned Griffith Park. Our Half Marathon offers:

  • A beautiful, but tough Trail Half Marathon course that winds through historic Griffith Park, out to the Observatory, down to Bronson caves, and proceeds along the base of the Hollywood sign with incredible views of downtown Los Angeles.
  • An unparalleled race destination weekend. After the race, take some time to enjoy the historic city of Hollywood! Visit the walk of stars, Beverly Hills, or Mann's Chinese Theatre. World-class dining, shopping, wine tasting, a visit to Universal Studios and much more.
  • Although a very tough course this is a walker friendly course that welcomes Half Marathon walkers.

Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks in North America. Commonly referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles, it covers significantly more acreage with a much more untamed, rugged character. Read more about the history of Griffith Park.

Please join us Saturday, November 17th, 2012 for the Half Marathon experience of a lifetime! Incentives include:

  • Beautiful engraved finisher medals for all finishers
  • High end race day sweat wicking tech shirts for all finishers
  • Amazing finish line lunch provided by Whole Foods West Hollywood
  • Ice cold Guayaki Yerba Mate Iced Tea's at the finish line
  • Three well-stocked, well-manned aid stations with ample GU gels, and GU chomps.
  • Well-marked course with plenty of volunteers!

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Los Angeles District 4 Councilmember Tom LaBonge without whose tireless and amazing efforts and support this event would not have been possible.
